SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4, cristal radiactivo???

He leido en Dpreview un comentario de lo más curioso, un forero dice que algunos de los SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 tienen un componente radiactivo en el cristal... y que puede eliminarse exponiendo la lente a la luz solar???
"Some of these lenses had a radioactive element in the glass mixture.
Look through the lens at a white sheet of paper to see if the lens has a yellowish tint.
If it does it can be cured by exposing the lens to sunlight for a couple days.
